For this performance, I embroidered two texts in Spanish onto pieces of bread: No te amo más (“I don’t love you anymore”) and Yo tampoco (“Me neither”). I set up a scene in which a couple is having dinner together. Over the course of the performance, both eat the bread, leaving only the thread on the plate that at some point were words.
